Brief Scenarios

  1. Susan, prior to being a stay at home mom, worked in management at a medium size company and enjoyed her work. Now that her children are older she is interested in re-entering her chosen field but is uncertain about the options in her area. She is interested in exploring several career options as well as talking to a coach about best ways to balance her family and work life. She would also like assistance preparing a resume and cover letter.

  2. Betsy has been working for the same company since she began work at the age of 18. She has had several positions within the company over the years and is beginning to feel like she needs a different challenge. She is wondering how she can make herself more marketable for a higher salary. She wishes to explore other career options including looking outside her company. She finds herself procrastinating because she is fearful that she won't be able to find anything. She decided to work with a career coach to examine her interests, skill set and career options. She feels that she has a lot to offer a potential employer but needs assistance with getting things moving.

  3. Richard has been working for his current employer for about a year. The company hired a new manager for his department and he has recently been given feedback from his new supervisor that he is too emotional at work. He is not sure how to take this information. In addition he feels his personality style doesn't fit his current workgroup.
